Description
Visions Of A Life is the powerhouse second studio album from British rock band Wolf Alice, originally released in 2017 via Dirty Hit. Crowned the winner of the prestigious 2018 Mercury Prize, the album established the London quartet as one of the most vital, dynamic, and unpredictable forces in modern alternative rock. Soaring between ferocious grunge, atmospheric dream-pop, driving post-punk, and heavy shoe-gaze.
This 2LP pressing is presented on heavyweight 180gram black vinyl, housed in a high quality gatefold jacket. The format beautifully preserves the album’s incredible dynamic range, allowing the explosive transitions between Justin Young and Joff Oddie’s crushing guitar riffs and Ellie Rowsell’s breath taking, versatile vocal delivery. Shifting effortlessly from delicate whispers to visceral screams, to hit with maximum physical impact.
Spanning 12 diverse tracks, the record is packed with standout anthems, including the ferocious, Grammy nominated punk lead single "Yuk Foo", the sprawling shoegaze centrepiece "Don't Delete the Kisses", the indie rock classic "Beautifully Unconventional", and the colossal 8 minute title track closer "Visions Of A Life".
A universally lauded modern indie rock classic, Visions Of A Life is an indispensable physical showpiece for alternative, indie, and 2010s vinyl collections.
